Mercy College

Mercy College is a private liberal-arts college, serving 10,000 graduate and undergraduate students at our five campuses located in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Westchester County, New York.  Founded in 1950, the College’s mission is directed to “providing motivated students the opportunity to transform their lives through higher education by offering liberal arts and professional programs in personalized and high quality learning environments.” Enrollment is approximately 30 percent male and 70 percent female, and composed of roughly a third each of Hispanic, African American, and White/Other students.

Under the leadership of President Kim Cline, the College has undergone a renaissance.  An innovative student-services mentoring and retention program has shown a positive impact on first-to-second-year student retention. Project Kaleidoscope aligns squarely with Mercy’s strategic priorities, including its goal to seek out “opportunities that position Mercy College as a leader in transformational education.”
